Going Where God Is (a 1k Testimony!)
Don’t think I’ve ever spoken about numbers on here before.
The numbers we can see don’t mean nearly as much as the ones God sees right (eg whether we see large or small numbers on our accounts, God knows how many lives are being impacted for his kingdom). And overly focusing on results can often make us feel either prideful or discouraged - so best to not.
That said, it is fun to celebrate good news (Romans 12:15)! ☺️ As I was getting ready for bed tonight, I realized that this past week we hit 1k listens on @yaypodcast (after 5 weeks!) and 1k followers on Pinterest (after 1 year). This might seem big to some and small to others; to me, it’s miraculous. One year ago, “achieving” these things would have felt almost impossible. But I know I’m just a vessel (2 Timothy 2:21). It is not about me - without God, I truly have nothing worthwhile to say (John 15:4-5).
So I just wanted to encourage anyone who might be feeling like I felt not too long ago. To not miss out on what God wants to do by being distracted or selfish.
You want to do meaningful things for God? 🤗 Go all in with him. Study his Word, listen for his voice, do what he says every single day.
& just watch how your heart, your life will change six months, a year from now.
We won’t do it perfectly. Some days, it’ll feel really really hard to obey. But God says his power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:8-9). Keep going - surrendering, repenting, learning, loving. And don’t miss the importance of small tests (Luke 16:10). Once God reminded me of the importance of living a holy life through a broken banana haha (if I broke it, it was mine - I shouldn’t put it back on the shelf 😅).
Also, thank you x 1000000 for your friendship and support as I stepped out in obedience. Your kindness and love made it so much easier. Praying we can support each other (I want to support you!) as we continue to serve our Lord in the way he’s called us. Reach out anytime and tell me about what God’s putting on your heart - would love to pray together. You are you, dear friend. Let’s embrace our God-given callings (Jeremiah 29:11). ❤️
