Curious About Jesus? A Prayer for Unbelievers

This one is for all my friends who are curious about Jesus.

Friends who see light emanating from the lighthouse (Jesus) and want to go there but are scared of the unknown, that they are not ready.

Maybe you’ve been circling the waters around the lighthouse for awhile, in a boat tackling the ups and downs of the waves (life) on your own or even with others in the same boat.

I pray you know how accepting Jesus is of you just as you are, get off the boat, and take steps towards him. With him, you are never alone. Jesus longs for you to accept him as your friend, confidant, Savior. To comfort you and show you that you are never alone. Reach out and accept his invitation … allow him to pour out the love he died for you to have.

*He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. (Ephesians 1:7)

He saved us and seats us together with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Jesus! How incredible … that we have the right to be so close to God!

*But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:4-6)

Lord, you love us so much that sometimes it can feel overwhelming when we consider our sin compared with your holiness. What grace we have through Jesus that we can be reconciled to you. For anyone who is fearful about coming into / reentering your presence, help us to know that you don’t want anything to separate us from you. “Sin had left a crimson stain, he washed it white as snow” (Jesus Paid It All). Wherever we’re at, whatever we’ve done, you accept us and want to bring us to your better place. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
