Living Aware of Jesus’s Return
For those who are weary, for those feeling off track, come back to the heart of worship. Know the Lord’s arms are open wide. May we live today, fully aware, of the 🔥 POWER of the GOSPEL ❤️!
We are free! We are redeemed! Our Lord Jesus, the Savior of our souls, is coming back.
*But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, (2 Peter 3:10-14)
May we revel, soak in these truths, and praise God for his guidance and direction. Let us live in his protection, hunger for his ways, keep our eyes on him, growing in knowledge of him, and pray for increased boldness to share the Gospel far and wide. It’s Good News and God wants to partner with us to share it. What a privilege, what a mission. May we take our call — and preparation — seriously.
This season, Lord, will you take us deeper with you. Help us to fall so in love with you that your pleasure is what we seek. Help us get ride of all selfishness, pride — open our eyes to any deceit in our hearts / lives so we can repent and present ourselves as acceptable living sacrifices to you (Romans 12:1). Help us be holy as you are holy (1 Peter 1:16), we want to grow closer and closer to you. You deserve ALL the glory! You deserve ALL the praise! We thank you and love you, today, everyday. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
