On Childlike Faith, Waiting for Marriage & Believing God for Impossible
When we pray, God’s answer doesn’t always come in a straight linear fashion. But we can trust that his timing and answer are always perfect… even if it takes some time for our hearts to catch up with our brains. I pray these stories of how God reminded me to TRUST HIM this past week are encouraging and maybe even entertaining for you. We’re journeying together; may he help us help each other to keep our eyes on Jesus, the ultimate author and perfecter of our faith.
This week’s episode - on childlike faith, waiting for marriage, and believing God for the impossible - kind of jumps back and forth a bit. But bear with me. Because it’s quite often how our relationship with God is, isn’t it? When we pray, God’s answer doesn’t always come in a straight linear fashion. But we can trust that his timing and answer are always perfect … even if it takes some time for our hearts to catch up with our brains.
Maybe all of us humans could have a little more patience when it comes to waiting on God’s promises. I pray God uses these stories of how he reminded me to TRUST HIM this past week are encouraging and maybe even entertaining for you. We’re journeying together … may he help us help each other to keep our eyes on Jesus, the ultimate author and perfecter of our faith.
And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
