Reasons to Wait on God Each Morning
This morning, I woke up and felt like God had shown me how to handle a situation by having me do it in my dream.
I know people who have spiritual dreams regularly — that it’s a main way God speaks to them. It’s not how he usually speaks to me but perhaps, as it was something I didn’t really know how to handle, it was his grace to gently show me while I wasn’t even awake!

Then I made a big mug of tea, sat on my couch and started to pray. Just sitting and sipping, kind of talking with God, but also just sensing the Holy Spirit impress things on my heart. I felt him remind me:
*”You are so protected and loved, child. So protected and loved.” (Psalm 32:7)
*He goes before me, is behind me, is with me wherever I go. (Deuteronomy 31:8)
*To not be anxious about anything. (Philippians 4:6)
*That those who hope in him will renew their strength and soar on wings like eagles. (Isaiah 40:31)
*That he will uphold me with his right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
*That he turns ashes to beauty, mourning to dancing, anguish to songs of praise. (Isaiah 61:3, From Ashes to Beauty - The Vine Band)
*That he knows I need him. (Matthew 6:8)
Breaths of encouragement, so sweet.
[Key takeaways] It’s SO important to be in the Word daily! And enjoy worship music, Christian books and podcasts, and other resources that remind us of God’s truth. God can speak verses that we’ve never heard of, but doesn’t he often pull from what we know? And also he wants us to delight in his law and meditate on it day and night (Psalm 1:2). ❤️
Praying that we enjoy a daily process of renewing our minds with his truths, engraving his truths on our hearts (and always see it as a joy!). The more we know God, the more we love him! And there is so so much to love. We are so so loved. There are so so many people around us that need loving.
