Our advocate, the Trinity (share & spread God’s love!)

It really helps to have role models, doesn’t it?

If we’ve never seen something done before, we might not think it’s possible. We might look upon our human frailness and be tempted to give up.

Hello God!

As Christians, we’re not frail and we don’t need to rely on our own strength. The Holy Spirit will teach us and remind us of what he’s taught us in the past. When we sin, Jesus pleads our case before the Father. God is our advocate and will rescue us from evil.

*May the Lord therefore judge which of us is right and punish the guilty one. He is my advocate, and he will rescue me from your power!” (1 Samuel 24:15)

*But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. (John 14:26)

*My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. (1 John 2:1)

In this life, there may be times where it seems impossible to do what God says. During these times, let’s open up our Bibles and soak in the role models God has given to encourage us. There’s David and Joseph, Esther and Ruth, Peter and Paul, and so many others! They were human too, they weren’t perfect. But they relied on God, obeyed his will, and are examples for us today.

Will we allow God to write our stories and use us as examples for others too? All, always, for his glory.
