God's Faithfulness at a 'Luminous Jungle' Night Brunch

Jenni Lien Christian Blogger from The Yay Project at Ritz Carlton Hotel Hong Kong

There are times in life where we run. Other times, we walk. And sometimes we just need to stay still whether that’s because we’re waiting or because don’t have anything left to give.

In all seasons of our life, it’s so important to rely on God.

Let us not run in the wrong direction. Let us not walk if we’re supposed to be running or staying still. Let us not feel pressured to run or walk if God wants us still.

After a loooong prayer session this morning pouring out my heart to God, I flopped back, face down, in bed. Don’t know why, maybe it was subconsciously me wanting to be in a position of total surrender haha. And I felt God remind me that being still doesn’t mean he’s not working. Sometimes we can’t see how until later but oh when we do what a time to rejoice it will be.

First thing on my mind today was how much of my life now consists of things I dreamed of as a teen. When I had no way of knowing if these dreams would ever come true. And throughout the past 10 or so years I didn’t always recognize when things had come true. But today, I stepped back and saw the big picture, and was thankful, so thankful, to remember how God is always working for us. I really needed the encouragement as I dream more dreams.

“Haven’t I already shown you I’m faithful?” I felt him press on my heart.

Yes, he has.

Praying for you guys too, may we all surrender to God. If he gives us so many of our selfish dreams, why wouldn’t he bless our desires to serve him?

On 'selfish' dreams, here are some photos from last night’s Luminous Jungle Night Brunch hosted by Ozone at the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong in collaboration with Moet & Chandon x Hennessy V.S.O.P (def the kind of even I longed to experience as a teen. Just because. 🙏)

If you didn’t know, Ozone is the highest rooftop bar in the world and the views overlook our urban jungle. With this in mind, their new night brunch (no end date) aims to introduce a different kind of jungle to Hong Kong. The bar was transformed into a tropical lounge with live DJ, photo booth, and South American-inspired bites and drinks. Guests can order a free-flow of food items from the menu which includes dishes like salmon ceviche with passion fruit, Japanese-Brazilian makis, huevo onsen, grilled halibut in banana leaf, picanha steak with chimichurri, roasted pineapple, and banana fritters.

Oscar Mena, Ozone’s bar manager, has created three exclusive cognac-based cocktails made with Hennessy V. S. O. P. We started with the Inverted Bubble Falls with St Germain elderflower liqueur, a sugar cube dipped in vanilla bitters and topped with Moët & Chandon champagne. There’s also Green Jungle with Cointreau, lemon juice and mint leaves and The Highest Forest with fresh raspberries and lemon.

The other day I saw a post that said the waiting period is also the preparation period. How true. Let us not be afraid to wait on and dream with our mighty, faithful God. We live for him. In him is always the best place for us to be. ❤️❤️❤️
